Division of Soil Science




Soil Science division deals with importance of soil and water testing, issue of soil health cards, soil sutability for agriculture, horticulture and soil fertility management strategies to the farming community.

4. Special Activities

  • Implementation of Technology Demonstration Components (TDC) for soil fertility management under drought condition and recycling of crop residues to make burn free village in NICRA scheme at Vadavathur & Jambumadai village funded by CRIDA, Hyderabad.
  • Under revolving fund activity biofertilizers, crop boosters and micro nutrient mixtures distributed to needy farmers.

5. Soil & Water Testing Laboratory

Soil & water testing laboratory is in operation since 2011 at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Namakkal. Soil & water health cards issued along with recommendation to farmers. The Parameters being analysesd is presented here under.
